The Journey to Save a Million Vets

The Journey to Save a Million Vets

The opioid epidemic continues to infiltrate communities across the country. Its impacts have been immeasurable and devastating, and scores of veterans and first responders have been affected the most, as opioids are usually the first prescription they receive to cope with pain, stress, and the emotional toll of the trauma they experienceHeroGrown Foundation serves as an outlet for these American heroes, raising awareness, advocacy, and assisting veterans in using marijuana as a safe alternative to opiates. Roger Martin, the founder of HeroGrown and a veteran for the United States Army, is acutely aware of the ramifications of opioid addiction. He has freely expressed his journey of coping—being prescribed a cocktail of opioids and prescription drugs to help cope with his PTSD to now being a user and advocate for medical cannabis. “Cannabis saved my life,” he explains, and now he has devoted his life to HeroGrown, whose mission is to serve these communities by providing free cannabis and CBD products in an effort to fight current or potential addiction to prescribed drugs.

Roger became concerned about the reported dangers of untested and unregulated marijuana, but he was able to get in touch with DB LabsAnd they were eager to help by offering support, their services, and guidance. Once DB Labs became aware of Roger’s mission, they joined the HeroGrown Foundation Founders Coalition. “The incredible generosity of the owners and staff of DB Labs in Las Vegas has literally been a gamechanger for us.” DB Labs continues to provide testing for purity and potency to all members of HeroGrown, completely free of chargeDB Labs also financially contributes to all fundraising events held in Las Vegas, as they are equally passionate and share the same desire as Roger to serve the veterans and heroes who have been impacted by the opioid epidemic.

Roger’s quest is far from over. With his newest organization, Save a Million Vets, he’s setting out to do just thatsave over one million veterans who are at risk of dying from opiate overdoseWith his partnership with DB Labs, he has the capacity to spark a movement, one that can save millions of lives and stop the destructive ripple effects from the current opioid epidemic.
